HEALTH & VACCINES:
As of February 16th, 2023, the Ecuadorian government has adjusted the rules for entering the country.
- Passengers are no longer required to fill out the Health Declaration form before or upon arrival.
- Only passengers with the following symptoms should do so: high fever, cough, general malaise, loss of smell or taste, or skin rashes. The form can be completed online (https://declaracionsalud-viajero.msp.gob.ec/ ) or on arrival on paper.
As a reminder, it is not necessary to present a vaccination certificate, or any COVID-19 test certificate to enter Ecuador.
In addition, the use of face masks is no longer mandatory anywhere in Ecuador, except in hospitals and medical centers. We recommend that guests wear masks when using transportation services such as vehicles or airplanes.
Mytourec will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of its travelers; please inform us of any physical disabilities or limitations when you make a booking.
Finally, the Ecuadorian Government requires that all foreign visitors who come to Ecuador have a private or public health insurance.
Regarding Yellow Fever International Vaccination Certificate:
- Vaccination against yellow fever is recommended for all travelers (national and international) who include in their travel itinerary the provinces of the Ecuadorian Amazon that are considered endemic to this disease (Napo, Pastaza, Orellana, Sucumbíos, Zamora Chinchipe, and Morona Santiago). Consider that the vaccination must be done 10 days before the transfer to these provinces.
- The application guidelines of the International Yellow fever Vaccination Certificate and the corresponding epidemiological surveillance are addressed to all travelers, regardless of their immigration / administrative status (diplomatic, refugee, repatriated, among others).
- Those visitors who travel from Brazil and arrive in Ecuador to transfer to another flight bound for Ecuador, will not be requested the International Certificate of Vaccination of yellow fever, while they remain inside the airport.
- If a traveler commences a trip in a country without a yellow fever active outbreak, stops in Brazil and stays less than 12 hours in that country, they will not be asked for the International Vaccination Certificate to enter Ecuador.
